Now into the sixth generation of the family, Rossiter and Sons The Jewellers, was founded in 1832 by John Rossiter in Weston-super-Mare during the reign of William IV. Starting as watch, clockmakers and silversmiths with optical services in the early years, the family all worked and lived in the business in Weston with a second shop following in Clevedon which opened its doors in Hill Road during 1873.
Surviving the great depression of the thirties and bomb damage during the war the company thrives today with four retail showrooms. Bridgwater opened its doors in 1950 and more recently Barnstaple in 1971. Now into the new millennium, Rossiter and Sons offer a full range of products and services and is proud of its heritage and strong family tradition.
Today the strength of the business lies in gems, gold and silver jewellery, modern and antique silverware, clocks, barometers and watches as well as our comprehensive repair service.
